Başkent University was established in 1994. Education at Başkent University is carried out by 11 Faculties, 1 State Conservatory, 6 Vocational Schools, 7 Institutes, and School of Foreign Languages.
Başkent University has 20 application and research centers, 5 health and practice centers, and a hospital.

The student clubs at Başkent University aim to enable and encourage students to spend their free time according to their interests, to acquire recreation and entertainment habits along with new interests, and to participate in cultural and artistic activities.
